Michael
Jackson
and his looks

During
his life people thought of Michael
Jackson as being a freak, due to
the dramatic changes of come, that the world must hear this story.
Hopefully
this article will give you some
insight on
who
Michael Jackson was and
the huge
power he has given to the world.
One of the reasons
for me to
find out the real story
behind these transformations was that I couldn't believe the stories
the media
was claiming to be the truth. Stories about bleaching the skin with
some
chemical stuff seemed highly unlikely to me. These kinds of remedies

are pretty
aggressive. They can have high risk for the physical condition,
especially when
you have to treat the whole body with it. The only thing I can think of
is the
treatment they use on Vitiligo-patients, where they bleach the
remaining brown
spots but only on small parts of the body, not the entire body.
But also the version of Michael
Jackson himself was
questioning me. What he was telling wasn't comparing with the image we
have of
him nowadays. I always thought, why doesn't he tell the truth? Why come
across
as a fool when it is not necessary? What is the purpose for hurting
yourself
that much, while he could earn so much more respect when the public
would now
the real story? The only thing I could think of was his privacy and the
protection of his fans. Over the years I heard some interesting stories
about
the physical conditions of Michael Jackson and that made me curious,
was there
something more going on? The following story is my
personal vision concerning his looks. However I truly
believe that what I try to tell here has high resemblance with the true
reason
why he looked this way.
I created
my vision by studying publications about the diseases and by
having conversations with patients and foundations. Afterwards I
compared the
information I gained, with what I knew about Michael Jackson and his
medical
situation. By studying pictures of Michael Jackson throughout the
years, I
tried to find the development of the diseases on Michael Jackson and I
discovered that this must be the real truth about his face.
What did he
have?
As you
probably know is that Michael Jackson had a skin disease named vitiligo
. This
disease
reduces the
pigmentation of skin and hair. The color of the
skin can
disappear completely. There have been patients with Vitiligo who turned
almost
completely white within one year! The story about Vitiligo on Michael
Jackson
became public in 1993 during the interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Almost no
one knows that he has to deal with another disease, to be exact Lupus
Erythematosus. Lupus belongs to the same group of ailments as
rheumatism. This
story became known among fans when Michael Jackson was hospitalized in
1995 in
the Beth Israel Hospital in New York. During the shooting of the
HBO-special he
was rushed into the hospital, because of the failure of his mental
organs, a tender
area for Lupus-patients. During
his stay in the
hospital Michael
Jackson was
treated by Dr. Allan Metzger.
Dr. Allan Metzger is a well-known
expert on the area of Rheumatology and is a
professor
on the UCLA School of Medicine, part of the University of California in
America.
In 1994 Dr. Allan
Metzger received the Humanitarian Award of the American Lupus
Society.
In
October
2003 Michael Jackson attended a conference about Lupus in Los Angeles,
where he
held a speech together with Dr. Allan Metzger about this disease.
Isn’t it more common for
healthy celebrities to support a foundation for cancer
or AIDS? Why should Michael Jackson choose for the Lupus Foundation, if
he had
nothing to do with it? Most of the people have never heard of this
disease!
Could it be he had another reason……?
Lupus
Lupus is known
as
an auto-immune disease. This disease will be activated through an
infection
from outside the body or by exposure to sunlight! There is a theory
that also
stress or trauma could be one of the most important activators for
Lupus. Lupus
has two varieties
,
the butterfly-form
known
as LE and the system-form known
as
SLE (Systematic Lupus Erythematosus). I suspect that Michael Jackson
suffered
from the SLE-form. The reason why I
believe that is that almost all the common
symptoms of SLE were visible on Michael Jackson.
SLE
turns
the antibody system to its own corpse, in this case on the tissues,
located
around the organs, which has his influence on the activities of these
organs.
SLE can create all kinds of symptoms like; extreme tiredness, high
fever,
problems with the joints, deformity of the skin for example changes of
the skin
color and inflammation of the skin. Other symptoms are blisters in the
oral-,
throat- and nasal cavity, a dry and painful feeling in the eyes and
"death" fingers which can turn white or red-purple.
More
symptoms are
failure of the kidney-functions and heart-and
lung-disability, neurological problems and anemia. This is what
happened to
Michael Jackson in 1995 and in March 2005, during the trial. Also the
loss of
hair, tendons, tissues and cartilage is possible.
One of the remedies to avoid
these
symptoms is to wear protected clothing to
prevent infections and sunraidition. Looking at the fact that Michael
Jackson
suffered from Vitiligo and Lupus it explains the reason why he wore
often a
mask, sunglasses and an umbrella. This is to prevent sun-glare and
infections.
An interesting theory is that Johns
Hopkins University has shown the
connection between SLE and
Vitiligo, because both are auto-immune diseases. The Johns Hopkins
University
is the oldest university of the United States since 1876.
Michael
Jackson and the development of Lupus
It
is unknown and hard to find out when Michael
Jackson got Lupus, first of all because it is a heritable disease. It
is
possible that the disease started to develop around the late seventies
or begin
eighties, because he becomes more sensitive for sun radiations, one of
the
originators of Lupus.

What about
the nose!
Also
the
shape of his nose is explained by lupus.
Somehow I believe that something occurred during the healing process
after his
third nose job. I think he got an infection which had a result on the
condition
of his cartilage, which became weak throughout this infection, what
causes what
same people call the strange shape of his nose.
STW (this
organization
stimulates and finances
technical- and scientifically research in the Netherlands) tells on
their Dutch
website that cartilage is the most important support in the joints and
in the
framework of the nose, larynx and auricle. Besides the congenital lack
of
supporting cartilage, can a damage of this tissue, lead to a permanent
defect
due to the deficiency of good wound healing. The
Dutch
Association of
LE
confirms this.
This is not only been seen on
his nose
but also on his hands and ears. His
hands and ears had also a bit of a strange shape.
The association even found it
very
reliable that this could be the real reason
for the shape of Michael Jackson's nose!
Michael
Jackson and the transformations
When we use this
information about Lupus and Vitiligo and compare it with
the face of Michael Jackson we can illuminate several points. One of
the things
that become clearer is that there is more going on than tens of
surgeries. I
won’t deny that Michael Jackson didn't have any surgery on
his face but that was
never said, also not by Michael Jackson himself. He talked about two or
three
surgeries. Let me try to verify this with the information we have.
By
studying pictures of
Michael Jackson I suspect that the first signs of
Vitiligo occurred in the seventies.
Because you can see spots in his
face and
neck.
At the end of the seventies around the time of "Off The Wall" he
probably had his first nose job because you can see a difference in
the shape
of his nose around this time. In the eighties the Vitiligo develops
further,
the white spots which arise now are vanished by making these white
spots darker
with brown make-up. I believe that around 1984 Michael Jackson had his
second
nose job. It is possible that he has done that, in the time he
recovered from the
accident during the shooting
of a Pepsi-commercial.

During this shooting his
hair got on fire and he suffered from second and third degrees burn on
his head
and right hand. During this time he had been treated by the Brotman
Memorial
Hospital in New York.
In
1987 Michael Jackson
had his biggest comeback in his career with his album
BAD and with a new look. At once we had a whiter Michael Jackson! There
is an
explanation for this transformation. As I already told you, Vitiligo
can
develop very quickly. Someone who suffers from this condition can turn
white in
very short time even within one year. At that time Michael Jackson
probably
still had some brown spots on his body, which didn't fade away
completely, in
this stage the white skin is covering the body about 80 percent.
To cover up up the remaining
brown
spots, they now turn these spots into white
with white make-up or by bleaching. So the brown spots will evaporate
with the
rest of the skin color. This method with make-up is regularly used with
someone
who suffers from Vitiligo. You can imagine that when you have to cover
up your
whole body with make-up, it is a very expensive and a time-consuming
method. An
alternative is to wear long clothing which can hide the larger parts of
your
body and the spots. This explains why Michael Jackson wore almost
always long
sleeves and pants.

I think that
somewhere in the nineties Michael Jackson had his third nose job. I
think it is
around the time of his album History, because his nose looked different
than
during the Bad-time.
Looking
to the above information, I think we have to conclude that the real
reason why people call Michael Jackson a "freak" because they are
misinformed about tens of plastic surgeries and chemical treatments and
the
diseases might be the real reason why Michael had plastic surgery.
Michael
Jackson
and his small figure
Besides the awareness of the diseases he suffers from, is his posture
also a
large factor in the way he looks
nowadays. He got very skinny in the past
years. When you look at the police-photo they took of him in 2003 you
will see
that he weighs only 120 pounds or 54 kilograms with a length of 1, 75
meter!
From the seventies until now he lost about 10 to 20 kilograms. Of
course this
has great influence on the appearance of a person. I don't know the
real reason
for this loss of weight. But I have a clue that Lupus and stress are
the mayor
factors for his loss of weight.

Michael Jackson told in
an interview with Jesse Jackson that he had
problems
with eating, it bothered him tremendously. When you think about the
idea that
he could suffer from Lupus, it makes it clear that this could be one of
the
main reasons for his problems with eating. Because stomach-complains
are one of
the common symptoms of Lupus.
There
could be also
another circumstance that causes the stomach-complains. One
of the worst attackers for the stomach is stress, especially when you
have a
weak stomach. I myself had recently also problems with my stomach, only
due by
stress. The symptoms I had, looked like a stomach-ulcer. Everybody who
has had
stomach-complains or a stomach ulcer knows how awful that feels.
When your stomach hurts, it is
always
there, it won’t go away, no matter what
you eat or how much you eat. It feels like when you are extremely
hungry but then
the whole day and night, it hurts, it makes you dizzy, it gives nausea,
you
feel awful. It makes you tired and even depressive, because your
stomach is so
important, when you don’t eat you can die and that is
sometimes frightened. At
one point you become desperate, because everything you do to deal with
it,
nothing seems to help. The only
thing that really helps is to get your rest and
eat at healthy.
When
you think about the
life
Michael Jackson had lived, it was a hell of stress. I am
honestly really glad
that I am not in his shoes. How do you react yourself when you know
somebody is
talking negatively about you and you’ve been watched
constantly? It makes you
freaking and stressed out. What to
think about not one person who is negative
about you, but 80 % of the world and who are telling all kinds of lies
and
horrifying stories about you! I think I couldn’t handle that,
why should Michael
Jackson?! He is only human, with human feelings and emotions.
For
people who suffer from one of these diseases, lives is already a
struggle
and sometimes even an ordeal, to cope with their new life and look they
get
without asking for it.
Michael Jackson suffered from both diseases but he had to deal with it
while he
was always in the centre of attention by the media, the cameras and the
spotlights!
Now judge for yourself by looking at the following pictures of Michael
Jackson,
if he really changed that much...
